The booklet makes recommendations for curricula in training teachers in the sphere of information and communication technologies.

The edition Implementation Guidelines, Version 1.0 provides a detailed description of practical habits teachers should acquire within each of the modules presented in the second booklet. Version 1.0 is a dynamically modified set of instructions to be regularly updated and supplemented on the UNESCO portal http://www.unesco.org/en/competency-standards-teachers, to reflect every change in the use of ICT in education.

The booklets can be used as guides for decision-makers in education and teacher training—in particular, in drawing curricula.
